African Rise and Global Shift: Key Developments Transforming the Continent's Future

As Africa rises and shifts towards the BRICS nations and the Global South, the West is increasingly being left out. This shift has major implications for the dollar that the corporate media is not warning Americans about. So, Americans who do not have alternative currencies like gold, silver, and/or bitcoin will be in for a shock when the dollar is no longer the world’s reserve currency as it has been since the Bretton Woods Agreement in 1944.

Why The West Is Collapsing As Africa Rises explains that Ibrahaim Traoré became president of Burkina Faso, the tiny nation in the Sahel just south of the Sahara Desert in Africa, in September 2022. At 37, Traoré is the second youngest president in the world — with a strong appeal for Africa’s young population used to much older leaders. Traoré promised to leverage his nation’s rich mineral resources for the benefit of its 24 million citizens.

In September 2023, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger created the Alliance Etats Sahel (AES) aka “Alliance Sahel or “Sahel Confederation” They are planning to merge into one state now and Togo has joined them. Travel is difficult in Africa because each African nation has its own passport. So, the AES created a passport that allows members to travel freely within the “Alliance Sahel. This greatly facilitates trade. President Traoré is building a state-of-the-art railroad and trains to connect the three nations and allow them to access the ports in Morocco and Mauritania. That will give these landlocked nations access to the Atlantic Ocean and facilitate trade with the Americas and Europe.

President Ibrahim Traoré’s Amazing Projects shows a few of the transformational projects President Traoré has launched in finance, transportation, education, healthcare, housing, agriculture, access to water, and access to electricity via solar power. President Traoré is now working on providing access to nuclear power. Another African president said he wants to nationalize his nation’s resources as President Traoré has done – but just that one project will take him four years!

Why Smart Investors Are Rushing To Africa Now

Why The Smartest Investors Are Rushing To Africa! 6/9/25

Africa’s private capital landscape demonstrated remarkable resilience in 2024, defying global downturns with a significant rebound in fundraising and deal activity. According to the African Private Capital Association, fundraising more than doubled to $4.0 billion across 22 funds, marking the third-highest final close value on the continent in the past decade.

This surge occurred even as global private capital fundraising declined by 19% year-over-year, highlighting Africa’s growing appeal to investors seeking opportunities amid global economic uncertainties. Investment activity also saw positive momentum, with deal volume increasing by 8% year-over-year to 485 transactions, the second-highest on record. However, total deal value experienced a slight decline of 7%, totaling $5.5 billion.

Notably, smaller deals gained prominence; for the first time in a decade, transactions under $50 million accounted for more than half of the total deal value. Conversely, large deals exceeding $250 million saw an 85% drop, reflecting a cautious approach among investors amid macroeconomic challenges. The composition of fundraising shifted significantly, with a move away from generalist funds, which fell to zero for the first time in 13 years. Instead, specialized funds focusing on infrastructure and private equity each secured 30% of the total fundraising value, amounting to $1.2 billion each.

This trend underscores investors’ growing preference for targeted strategies. Additionally, local investor participation increased, with African investors’ commitments rising from 14% in 2022 to 19% in 2024, signaling a strengthening domestic investment landscape. Exit activity also rebounded, with a 47% increase, totaling 63 recorded exits—the second-highest volume on record for Africa. Sales to trade buyers remained the primary exit route, accounting for 41% of exits, though this represented a decline from 48% in 2022, indicating a diversification in exit strategies. This uptick in exits reflects mounting pressure from limited partners for liquidity and demonstrates the maturing nature of Africa’s private capital markets.

Africa is rising, and the era of timid silence is over. From Ouagadougou to Nairobi, the winds of change are sweeping the continent. His words echo across the African Union and the global stage, challenging the political order from Washington to Beijing.

Democracy is being rejected even in its cradle.” These are not the words of a rebel — they came from Raila Odinga, the former Prime Minister of Kenya, once the West’s most trusted ally in Africa’s democratic experiment. In this groundbreaking speech, Odinga calls out Western-style democracy as a failed import, exposing a system that offers ballots without bread, elections without electricity, and reforms without dignity.

Africa’s Growing “Resource Nationalism”

How President Ibrahim Traoré Is Creating New Global Order! explains why Traoré’s “resource nationalism” is terrifying the West. Burkina Faso merged with Mali and Niger.

Why Ibrahim Traoré Is Becoming a Legend Across Africa and The Captain Who Shook Empires!
Why Ibrahim Traoré Is Africa’s Most Feared And Admired Leader
explains that President Traoré is revolutionizing Africa and changing the global order through his “resource nationalism”.

Why President Ibrahim Traoré’s “Resource Nationalism” Terrifies The West

The West always depicts Africa as poor, incompetent, and in need of aid. However, President Traoré reminds the West that Africa is rich in resources on which the West depends. These include aluminum clay (rich in the Rare Earth Minerals uranium, cobalt, lithium), bauxite, beryllium, cashews, cattle, chrome, chromite, cocoa (for chocolate), coffee, cotton (from which gunpowder is made!), diamonds, diatomite, feldspar, fish, graphite, gold, iron ore, ivory, kainite, lead, lentils, limestone, livestock, lumber, maize, manganese, mangoes, marble, oil, palm oil, phosphate (for fertilizers), kyanite, platinum, rice, rubber, salt, sand, silver, tantalum, tea, titanium, tomatoes, uranium, vermiculite, yams, wine, and zinc. Cell phones. EVs, and nuclear power rely on resources from Africa.

For the last 400+ years, under colonialism and neo-colonialism, Africa sold its vast resources cheaply as raw materials. Europe processed those and sold Africa the expensive finished products. In the video below, a White American explains that a growing number of African nations are now adopting Traoré’s policy of “Resource Nationalism” which allows Africa to derive much greater profit from its resources by selling finished products rather than raw materials.

President Traoré’s policies are inspiring other African nations to follow his example. This is causing a seismic shift in global power as we watch the end of the era that enriched the West at Africa’s expense. It turns out that to survive, the West needs Africa. However, because Europe and America have treated Africa with such contempt for so long, African nations are increasing turning to the BRICS nations and the Global South now.

France Is Falling Apart! CHAOS BOILING Over Bleeding Economy—Africa Can’t Save You This Time 8/12/25

France’s economy is buckling under the weight of record spending, crushing debt, and a furious middle class. Prime Minister François Bayrou is barely holding the government together, while President Emmanuel Macron faces growing unrest at home and shrinking influence abroad. With debt now at 112% of GDP and interest payments bigger than France’s education or defense budget, the cracks are widening fast.

This is more than an economic story—it’s the unraveling of a system that once used Africa’s resources, markets, and currency control to prop up France’s middle class. That “implicit bargain” is gone, and now Paris risks losing its grip both at home and overseas. From the “Nicolas qui paie” tax revolt to the threat of “imperial overstretch,” France is entering dangerous territory.

When Africa Ruled

The Western media and educational system portray Africa as backwards, uncivilized, and in need of help from Europe. So, few Americans know Africa’s real history discussed in the book below which shows that Africa had many vast, rich, literate civilizations while Europe was still in the Dark Ages.
The Benin Bronzes, now in European museums, inspired Pablo Picasso and other cubist artists.

How Europe Underdeveloped Africa

Americans are led to believe that just bodies were stolen during slavery staring in the 17the century. However skilled rice agronomists were taken from the Africa Rice Coast to create rice in America because Europeans and Americans didn’t know how to grow rice. They valued Africans’ knowledge and skills but didn’t want to pay them.

Their Carolina Gold made South Carolina so wealthy that it succeeded from the Union and began the Civil War because its rice wealth made it feel independent of the North. See Deep Roots Across the Atlantic: Rice and Race in Africa and the Americas.

Post-Western Civilization

Shahid Bolsen is an American who became Muslim and moved to the Middle East and is now an influential intellectual in the Muslim world. Bolsen’s Middle Nation podcast provides insights into our history and current events. In the video below, Bolsen explains that the West has always been dependent on Africa. That was just hidden for a few centuries. Bolsen says Americans and Europeans don’t know their real history and how deeply they have always depended on Africa. He is a very harsh critic of the West.

“The Cult of the West: How Trauma Becomes Doctrine” – Shahid Bolsen

The West doesn’t just tolerate trauma — it cultivates it. In this monologue, Shahid Bolsen breaks down how American liberal society systematically destabilizes your identity, floods your life with trauma, and then sells you a belief system to process the pain it created. This is not therapy — it’s indoctrination. This is not progress — it’s a cult. Western liberalism masquerades as deprogramming from “oppressive tradition,” but what it really does is overwrite your fitrah — your innate human compass — with market ideology, moral inversion, and spiritual confusion. You were born with truth. They are trying to erase it.
