Superstar Taylor Swift is a cultural phenomenon, and so are her dearest fans known as Swifties, widely held as the most dedicated fan base in the world.

They have secret jokes, they look for mystery clues in her performances and her lyrics are so detailed they resonate like nothing else.

A woman who could be considered ultimate Swiftie is from Connecticut, raised in Avon and will make an appearance here at the Shops at Farmington Valley Aug. 27 to dish on her bestselling book, “The Story of Us: How the Taylor Swift Fandom Changed Our Lives.”

The author, Olivia Levin, who grew up in Avon, is now a celebrity herself because of her fandom, having launched and built the largest Swift fan community in the world through Instagram beginning when she was 13 years old. She is now 26 and Swift is 36.

Levin’s @SwiftiesForEternity on Instagram is a community of more than 637K followers. Levin has become one of the most recognizable voices in the Taylor Swift fan community and has appeared on CNN, Access Hollywood, Extra, with features in People Magazine, USA Today, and Billboard.

Taylor Swift’s shifting thoughts on marriage. Through her own lyrics

As a result of her social media activity and fandom, Levin got to meet Swift and her family in person at Swift’s residence in Rhode Island when Levin was 17.

Levin fell in love with Taylor the performer at age 13 when she started the Instagram account.

The book is about how Swift was able to cultivate such a positive, powerful community and stories about the community.

“I talk about why the music resonates with so many fans.” Levin said. “Taylor has never showed away from being so deeply vulnerable. She’s a detailed you can just jump into a version of yourself and feel it.”

“When I met her in Rhode Island my big takeaway was that she’s a normal girl, Levin said. “It was one of the best experiences of my life.”

The meeting came about at a time Swift was holding “secret sessions”  with fans at her home.

“I got some one on one time. She’d play a future song coming up and run them by her fans rather than do a press tour.” Levin said.

Levin said it was “surreal” being at Swift’s house.

The book came out in April, she completed the tour and then was asked to the Shops.

“I never in a million years knew it would turn into other things,” she said of the fan page. “I just wanted to connect with fans.”

In 2023, Levin turned it into a career after college and now she’s an author and manages other celebrity fan pages.

“Everything happens for a reason,” Levin said. “I hope the book just makes the fans live the magic all over again.”

The appearance at the Shops at Farmington Valley will feature a moderated conversation and audience Q&A led by Maddie Maske of Bloom Media.

There also will be with Taylor Swift-inspired experiences from local businesses, including signature braids and non-alcoholic pink drinks from Blo Blow Dry Bar, milkshake samples and fries from Shake Shack, a Taylor Swift-themed cocktail from Mercato, and a complimentary bracelet-making bead bar from Ally Bea.
